The smallest, cleanest AND fastest Volvo ever! What?!
That’s right – welcome to the new world of automotive performance. This is the smallest Volvo SUV they’ve ever made, a fair bit smaller than the XC40, but interior size is almost the same as this was designed as an EV and only an EV, which means the front and rear overhangs are smaller, while interior space is maximised.
The styling of the EX30 takes a lot of cues from the larger EX90, including the nose which has the most successful non-grille we’ve seen on an EV. The Volvo badge still sits proudly up front, with the ‘Thor’s hammer’ headlights and a sculpted bonnet. The rear has hints of the Polestar 2 and there are some seriously chunky wheelarches.
There’s a decent 64kWH battery under the floor, but thanks to the great aerodynamics, this EX30 has 281 miles of range. But as it’s the twin motor version, they combine to give 416bhp and 545Nm of torque to give insane performance. How does 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds grab you? That’s as fast as an Audi RS6!
We’ve specced the Ultra version too, which means virtually every option is already ticked. Just choose which colour you want and away you go.
