CLOSE X

Lucky Strike For Mike!

Liverpool Football Fan Mike Alldread was at home looking after the children when Christian video-called to congratulate him on becoming BOTB's 522nd Dream Car winner, scooping the luxurious Volvo XC60 SUV worth a staggering £60,000!

Mike was literally stunned into silence with the news and after a few seconds of complete disbelief, he asked "Are you joking?! I'm so shocked, I never win anything!"

A gobsmacked Mike who was visibly shaking on the call, went on to explain that he'd have never been able to afford a car like this one so playing BOTB had been his big chance to make his dream a reality.

As Mike doesn't have a licence yet he's going to be giving the car to his 'missus' and two boys! What an amazing Easter present and a truly fantastic family car for them all! Massive congratulations!

I won £60k car ...but can't drive

Apr 2020

A FATHER of two, who has never had a driving lesson, has won a £60,000 Volvo after scooping the top prize in a spot-the-ball competition.

Mike Alldread entered the draw run by competition company Best of the Best, last week.

On his first attempt to win a dream car, the joiner, 30 opted to play for a Volvo XC60 T8 R-Design SUV.

When he was told he had scooped the prize, he admitted that he would hand the keys to partner Amy, so she could drive their children Harley and Roman around. Mike from Ilkseton, Derbyshire, said: "I don't drive.

"It's for the missus, so she'll be driving it. I've never even had a driving lesson." Explaining why he played the competition he said: "I really enjoy car.

"I know that sounds strange having never driven."
