Alexandru Anechitei was at work when he received a surprise call from online competition specialist BOTB who told him he was a Daily Draws Competition winner.
He tried to hold back his tears when speaking to BOTB presenter Christian Williams.
He said: “The money will help me a lot, it’s almost half of my yearly salary!”
“I was already having a nice birthday, but when I received the call and found out I had won it felt amazing.
“I have had so many nice messages from friends and family.”
Alexandru, who is a team leader for a transport company, said he plans to use the money to pay off some debts and go on holiday.
He said: “I work so hard so I would love a holiday and I’m thinking about going away with some friends in the summer. My dream is to go somewhere in the Caribbean like the Dominican Republic,”
