Bentley really shocked the sports supercar market when it brought out the latest Continental GT, what was previously a fantastic, comfortable and powerful Grand Tourer suddenly evolved into something that had actual handling and was fun to throw down a country road.
Well now they’ve brought out the GT Speed and it brings a lot of what its name suggests. The 6.0 litre twin turbo W12 engine now makes 650bhp and an insane 900Nm of torque, which means it will hit 62mph in 3.5 seconds and go onto 208mph – that’s quite some speed!
But the Speed is about more than just numbers, it’s about how it attacks the corners too, with rear wheel steering and a new Sport mode that allows proper sideways drifting action – in a Continental GT!
So it’s a serious driver’s car now, but that doesn’t mean Bentley has forgotten about luxury, the GT Speed still comes with every interior surface covered in the highest quality leather, wood, carbon fibre or aluminium – there really is nothing else like a Bentley interior.
