Win a Mini Cooper S Sport
We love a little hot hatch here at BOTB, and the Mini Cooper S has always been one of our favourites. With a combination of cute looks, go-kart handling and classless style, there’s little that can compete.
Well, now there’s a new Cooper S, and it’s the last petrol-powered version we’ll get! This still has a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine powering the front wheels, now with 201bhp and 300Nm of torque, so performance is certainly sprightly. Sadly, there’s no manual gearbox option anymore, but the 8spd auto gearbox is a fantastic thing to use, so no complaints here.
Visually, the new Cooper S takes the styling seen on the new electric Cooper SE (which has a totally different body, oddly), so there’s an aggressive front end with lots of intakes and vents, the standard issue black wheel arch extensions, which really help the stance and new twin-bar LED headlights. However, the rear saw the most significant change with new angular rear lights. There’s a roof spoiler up top and a diffuser down low, though the Cooper S now loses the trademark central exhaust pipes.
The inside gets a major glow-up too, with a clean dash and a huge, gorgeous central OLED touchscreen for all the functions, while the dash itself gets funky lighting and there are new sports seats.
The coolest small hot hatch just got a whole lot better, and you could win one with BOTB!
