Win a Dacia Spring Extreme + £2,000
We love cars with a singular purpose here at BOTB and this new Dacia Spring has one such purpose – the ultimate city car!
To start with, it’s tiny – just 3.7m long and 1.6m wide, so it can dart around towns with ease, yet seats four people in comfort and even has a decent sized luggage compartment. It may only have 64bhp, but this diminutive EV only weighs 1040kg so performance is more than adequate and around town being an EV the 0-30mph sprint will embarrass much more powerful cars.
That low weight is due to the small battery – only 24kWh but that gives a range of 137 miles which is more than enough for a small city car. And it can DC rapid charge at 30kW too so should you go further afield you won’t spend hours stuck to a slow charger.
The Spring looks great too, like a little jacked up hatchback and the interior looks fantastic. Being the Extreme model it comes with a 10-inch infotainment display with CarPlay/Android Auto, electric windows all round, front and rear parking sensors with rear view camera and even bi-directional charging capability.
We can’t wait to drive this little pocket rocket!
