MG is back! The marque most known for its two seat sports cars has returned with a family EV that has rocked the competition to the core – the MG4 Trophy.
Starting out with some seriously cool styling is always a good start and the MG4 doesn’t disappoint. Sleek pointed LED headlights sweep back into the front wings, while the nose is angular and being an EV has no big ugly grille to deal with. There are two aggressive intakes with daytime running lights and a smaller active grille at the bottom. The creases continue down the sides while at the rear there’s a twin-blade roof spoiler and a really impressive full width light bar with an intricate light pattern. Inside is clear, logical and well built too.
Power-wise, the MG4 Trophy has a single motor at the rear putting out 201bhp and 250Nm of torque to the rear wheels, while the 61.7kWh battery means a WLTP range of 270 miles. You can also DC fast-charge at up to 135kW which means 10-80% charge in just 25 minutes.
The MG4 Trophy comes packed with every bit of tech you could want as well, from heated seats and steering wheel, to a 360-degree camera setup, mobile phone Bluetooth key and wireless phone charger. It has it all.
