« Back Caterham 420R
The Caterham Seven has been around for over 50 years in one form or another, starting out with just 40bhp from a little Ford engine, now spreading right up to the 310bhp 620R with trick suspension and carbon additions. But the sweet spot of the range has always been the mid spec models, not too much power or grip and perfect steering.
That's where this new 420 model fits in. With 210bhp from the 2.0 litre engine it manages 420 bhp/tonne thanks to the low 500kg curb weight, which means performance and handling that will make you grin from ear to ear at perfectly legal speeds.
With trick track-biased suspension, the handling will defy belief too, giving you a driving experience that has to be experienced to be believed. And being the 420R this Caterham is perfectly suited to the track, with a carbon aero screen, sport suspension, composite bucket seats with harnesses, a limited slip differential and carbon fibre dashboard!
Win this amazing Caterham 420R this week in the BOTB Midweek Car Competition!
