« Back Hyundai Kona N
Hyundai surprised the world when they revealed their i30N, creating a hot hatch that wasn’t just good, it was class-leading. A proper performance hot hatch on their first attempt – mighty impressive.
Well now there’s a new car from Hyundai’s N-division and it’s based on the Kona small crossover. Yes, that means it’s called the Kona N – jokes about Conan the Barbarian are welcome…
Their small crossover is more famous for the impressive EV version, but there’s now the exact opposite available with the Kona N. Featuring the 2.0 litre turbocharge 4-cylinder engine seen in the i30N it produces the same 276bhp normally, but 286bhp when in ‘N Grin Shift’ mode where an extra 10bhp are released.
This puts the standard 8-speed dual clutch gearbox in the fastest and most aggressive setting, along with the rest of the car to allow maximum driving exhilaration.
With the fruity noise made by the i30N we can’t wait to hear how this sounds and see how they’ve managed to turn their magic onto the Kona.
And you can win one right here in the BOTB Midweek Car Competition!
This car comes with £20,000 cash included in the price of your ticket.
