Win a Volkswagen Polo GTi Plus in the BOTB Midweek Car competition!
It’s strange to think that the Golf GTi is now a fairly big car – the Mk1 was tiny and got by with only 113bhp. But as with most cars, they have got bigger over time and the Golf GTi now has 227bhp and can comfortably be used as a family car.
So VW has launched a new Polo, which itself has grown so there’s now the up! below it, but that new range now gets a proper GTi model, with only 30bhp less than the Golf. Could this be the GTi of choice?
Well on looks it certainly seems so, with a stylish yet sporty look, great details like the red line running through the grille and headlights and the traditional tartan seat trim. The Polo is no longer a little hatch, so performance isn’t other-worldly, but with that power going through their DSG gearbox, you’ll be throwing it down your favourite back road in no time.
