MG4 SE
The Jeep of the future is here!
We all love Jeeps for their rugged looks and go-anywhere ability, but this is 2023 and manufacturers need to be a little more eco-conscious these days, so Jeep has created a small EV that lets you have all the rugged good looks but all the eco benefits!
The Avenger is a 4-metre long mini-SUV that looks every bit like a Grand Cherokee that has shrunk in the wash – you get the same 7-bar grille (though this time it’s fake, being an EV), chunky wheelarches and raised-up suspension, with black cladding around the bottom to protect the bodywork.
But underneath sits the powertrain of the future – a 152bhp electric motor powering the front wheels, powered by a 51kWh usable battery which will achieve 248miles of range on the WLTP test cycle. That’s more than enough range for most people’s daily journeys.
The interior is great too, with a simple yet stylish dashboard, enough buttons for the major controls and a big infotainment touchscreen display.
PORSCHE TAYCAN
This Porsche Taycan may be the base model, but it's still a pure bred Porsche through and through!
Stylistically, for 2025 there's a more angular and aggressive front bumper, new wheel designs, and minor tweaks but it's still a gorgeous, sleek sports saloon like no other.
It’s underneath where the tech has moved on massively, though — there’s a new 105kWh battery and more efficient motors, which means the WLTP range has gone up to an amazing 421 miles! That’s a real country-crossing range, and it can also charge at a staggering 320kW — that means you can add 250 miles of range in just 15 minutes.
Of course, there’s more power – there always is with a facelift – and sure enough, the Taycan gets 429bhp and 450Nm from its two motors. That’s good enough for a 0-62mph sprint in a neck-breaking 4.8 seconds and a 148mph top speed.
The interior also gets some work, with a new Apple CarPlay Plus system, which means everything in the car can work through the CarPlay system on your iPhone.
